At Paddlesports Retailer this past summer, we gave the industry its first look at our new sit inside concept kayak, the SI123, which combined our unique hybrid catamaran (HyCat™) hull and a comfortable framed seat with a 12?-3? cockpit boat. The response and feedback we received gave us the direction we needed, and when we returned to Greenville, SC, we went to work turning this concept into a reality. Today, we’re proud to introduce the final product:

The EX123 Expedition is a stable, comfortable, and great paddling sit inside kayak, with performance, features, and cargo space that enable you to take your life’s adventure to the next level. Inspired by our SS series of fishing kayaks, the EX123 incorporates a slim, 29.5? wide HyCat™ hull, offering best in class stability while maintaining above-average tracking and speed. The light-weight Stadium Seat will keep your mind on your paddling experience rather than your back, with all-day comfort and support. Fat Grip Handles on the bow and stern to make transporting this single skin sit-in kayak easy and comfortable. Options for stowing and securing your gear are many. The HatchWell is a new spin on a stern hatch cover, tubbed with bungee, and hinged for internal dry storage below. Its oversized design gives you easy access inside the hull, with a bulkhead inside to make sure your camping gear, dry bags, and tackle stay stowed and dry. The tubbed design on top gives you the ability to store quick-access items, similar to the way you would utilize the tankwell found on a standard sit-on top kayak. And just in case that’s not enough, the bow of the EX123 has an fully drained integrated storage well and cover.
