Parris Edwards

Shelbyville, TN

Parris Edwards has been fishing since his early childhood, and kayak fishing for the past 10 years. He thinks of his kayak fishing as more of a lifestyle than a hobby because of its adventurous nature. He kayak fishes because it gives him the opportunity to explore bodies of water that most can’t reach. He fishes in all of the KBFTN Tournaments, and out of fourteen season tournaments, he placed Top Ten in six of them. He won two loser bracket tournaments, and two championships. His most memorable experience as a kayaker was when his love of being an angler and of being a father were able to collide. He took his son out to Percy Priest Lake, and as he watched him fish, time stood still. He was able to watch his son catch his personal best.

“Kayak fishing gives me an opportunity to do things with my boys that my father wasn’t able to do with me. Kayak fishing is also a way to build countless bonds and friendships.”
